Blue + Blush
A sweeter denim look
Oh my goodness the weather has been so hot the last few weeks that my willpower to dress up completely evaporated. Every time I step out after showering, I feel sticky within 10 steps out the door, let alone putting on fresh clothes just to perspire in. Coupled with the inability to breathe properly due to high humidity, I’m ready to just throw in the towel completely when it came to fashioning.
However, on the days I get to enter an air-conditioned shopping mall, I get to put in a wee bit more effort. Surprise surprise, I didn’t wear Birkenstocks this time! My feet did regret it by the end of the outing, though. I think I got too spoiled by thick-soled shoes that are worn-in but moulded to my feet…
As much as I love how these sandals look like on my feet, they feel like a wedgie for my toes. That’s a major no bueno for me. Still, they do look pretty, and I appreciate the sound of velcro when I open the fastening; makes me feel like a school kid again!

I’ve been wanting a vintage Gianni Versace denim shirt since forever; although the dark-washed ones are iconic, this light-washed one is great for running-errand outfits. I love it a bit oversized too, so I could use it as a lighter denim jacket if I wanted to.
I skipped putting on jewelry this time because the flats were ostentatious enough; sparkles on my feet, if you will. I was lucky enough to have a bag to match the florals on my skirt (which I adore thanks to the texture; will write more about it in the next blog post), and the corsetry details is so iconic!
I am hoping that the weather will cool down a little somewhat, because I do miss wearing longer hemlines and my knits!
